DIY PROJECT || #3 || THE POM POM SWEATER

INGREDIENTS:
Knit sweater
Pom poms (ones used are 1" in diameter)
Sewing needle & thread
Crayons/markers and paper

STEP ONE: Gather thread to match the pom pom colors you choose as best you can. If you don't have as many colors on hand, it's still fine to use a thread the same color as the sweater, you'll just have to be a bit more careful with making sure it's not visible from the outside (and this will definitely take much less time to do I realized...about an hour after).
STEP TWO: Hold the pom pom in place with your less dominant hand and carefully turn the sweater so you can see the inside behind the pom pom you are holding. Begin sewing from the inside to minimize the appearance of the thread. I stitched in a criss cross pattern so as to create a circular base that held down the pom pom. A couple stitches dug deeper into the center of the pom pom to ensure it will stay put. When done, simply tie the thread off and snip off the excess! Move to the next pom pom!
